Breaking Strain
We are Breaking Strain, an event management company based in Scotland but operating globally. Our team specialise in the delivery of races, corporate and charity challenges and overseas treks as well as epic bespoke events. While some of our activities facilitate mass-participation, others benefit from intimate wilderness settings. Due to our passion for exploration and avid sense of adventure, our doors are always open to fresh ideas. What we do
Events.
Our race portfolio includes one of the UK's largest trail running events, Run the Blades, and our newest event, Run the Borders. Bespoke race management, fully risk assessed routes, enthusiastic marshals and of course our hyped up goody bags.
Treks.
If you like pink, warm and fluffy then our Arctic, Kilimanjaro, and Alps treks aren't for you. However, we make accessible adventures where we support you every step of the way to achieve your goal. Got another pin on the globe in mind? Pitch your ideas to us.
Production Health & Safety.
As well as our own activities, we've also provided safety advice and cover for the likes of Amazon Studios, Netflix, Sky and the BBC, as well as at some iconic venues such as Murrayfield. Get in touch if your production needs help with risk assessments, operational planning or safety advisors.
